My Background
I've never thought of painting, however, with some inspiration from the islands and having too much time on my hands during the 2020 Covid pandemic, I started custom painting fence picket fish. swimsyfish was born in April 2020. I've painted over 100 different fish with six fish designs; mobiles; towel racks and custom designs.
I'm a drummer and active in a band. I combined two passions - custom painting and drumming and started custom painting drum sticks!

I custom paint with acrylic on new and reclaimed fence pickets with six fish designs plus I paint custom drumsticks.
All finished product is coated with polyurethane for indoor/outdoor protection.
In addition, abstract on wood and canvas have been added. My newest art project, I'm calling swindystix.
Swindystix are wooden slats/planks measuring 22"x2.5"x.5" and have "panes of abstract design. They can be purchased individually or groups. They can be vertical or horizontal. You can stagger them or include gaps between them to make interesting and inspiring wall art.

Because I use a lot of reclaimed fence pickets, there is always interesting wood grain or old paint that gets the creative juices flowing. I just stare at the fish and it comes to me. The colors and designs for each fish or drumstick are different. No two alike.
I love custom creating for special orders. Maybe there is a primary color you like or some specific design; I'll create one for you.
